Seibert Wedding

What better way to start off my 2013 wedding season than with a fantastic couple getting married at my most favorite Central Coast venue, the Flying Caballos Ranch!

On May 25, 2013, Jessica and Lucas celebrated their marriage with an intimate wedding ceremony surrounded by their closest friends and family in the back field of the ranch. Mama's Meatball wowed guests with a delicious meal served family style. I am continually impressed by their creative food displays and presentations! The reception tables were draped in La Tavola linens and adorned with beautiful succulents and floral creations by Flowers by FluidBloom, vintage china and silverware, mason water jars, ceramic owls, and table numbers made by the bride and groom. For dessert, guests enjoyed made to order s'mores by Mama's Meatball and tasty cupcakes from Two Little Birds Bakery.

My good friend and one of my favorite photographers, Jonathan of Bluephoto Photography was there to capture every beautiful moment and all the fine details of this wedding! I absolutely love the shot of Jessica and Lucas in the golden field as the sun is setting behind the low hanging fog! I'm constantly amazed how Jonathan works with the natural lighting... he is simply incredible at what he does!

Congratulations to Jessica and Lucas... you guys were such a rad couple to work with... thank you so much for the opportunity!  

Tripp Wedding

The night before Candice & Kyle's Flying Caballos Ranch wedding on August 4, 2012, thunderstorms and rain came rolling in and continued until the next morning. When I showed up to the ranch on the day of the wedding, the groom was wiping down all the tables and chairs...and as soon as he finished, it began raining again! A couple hours later as the rain let up, the sun and blue skies finally revealed themselves. The weather could not have been more perfect for the rest of the day and on into the night!

For the ceremony, Candice & Kyle vowed their committment to each under a hoopa that had been passed down from friends and family that also got married underneath it. The dinner reception took place in the back yard of the ranch and featured a combination of square, round, and banquet tables adorned with homemade striped runners, eclectic mismatched china, vintage silverware, and mason jar drinking glasses. The couple chose to use family names and vintage photos for their table assignments and custom cd's for their place cards. Lori Boe Floral Design did an incredible job on the floral centerpieces and bridal parties' bouquets and boutonnieres. Before Mama's Meatball Catering served a delicious Italian family-style feast, the mother of the groom welcomed guests by singing opera accompanied by a stand-up bass and accordion. And of course, the fabulous Jonathan Roberts of Bluephoto Wedding Photography was there to capture the unique beauty of the day. As an event planner herself, Candice did an incredible job on the overall design and layout of the wedding. Her attention to detail showed through in all the personal touches and the wedding itself truly represented the beautiful couple. It's such an honor when a fellow event planner puts their trust in me as their day-of coordinator to help execute their plans and bring their wedding vision to life. Congrats to Mr. & Mrs. Tripp as you continue your journey as husband and wife!

Detwiler Wedding

Tracy & Daniel both grew up on the Central Coast but didn't meet until they both attended Concerts in the Plaza in 2004. Hitting it off immediately, they started dating even though Tracy was getting ready to leave in one month to study abroad in Sweden for a year. Distance only made their relationship stronger; and eight years later they decided to get married on top of Bishop's Peak in San Luis Obispo overlooking the very city where they first met.

Tracy & Daniel's guests were transported up Bishop's Peak to the wedding on the Morro Bay Trolley before gathering together to watch the couple say their vows in a ceremony performed by one of Tracy's best childhood friends. In order to accommodate the amount of guests invited for the space, Tracy and Daniel opted for a cocktail party style reception. Mama's Meatball Catering did a phenomenal job on the food with tray passed appetizers, martini salad station, pasta bar, and grilled skewer station. For dessert, the couple asked some of their friends and family to contribute their favorite treat to the dessert table which was set-up next to Mama Meatball's sorbet station. As a wedding favor, guests received mason jars filled with homemade jam and lemon curd made by the mothers of the bride and groom with instructions to "Spread the Love." All design elements and floral arrangements were created by the very talented duo, Erin and Dan of Benedict August. Guests enjoyed music by local performer Jody Mulgrew and danced the night away to the jams of Shameless. Guests piled into the Platinum Photo Booth and wrote their best wishes to the couple on their photo film strip which was compiled into their guest book. Mora Photography did a wonderful job at capturing this beautiful day!
