Shauna and Chris were looking for a unique outdoor venue for their romantic-rustic-chic wedding on October 29, 2011. The El Capitan Canyon Resort in Santa Barbara served as the perfect backdrop to celebrate their wedding weekend with their closest friends and family. The ceremony took place at the Safari Cabin bluff with gorgeous canyon and ocean views. Shauna's stepdad performed the ceremony under a custom altar created out of driftwood collected by Chris and his brother from one of their favorite surf spots. The bridal party and family were adorned with beautifully unique floral creations by TOASTsb. The evening continued at the base of the canyon in the Marketplace. The natural tree trunk picnic tables were accented with burlap runners made by the groom's mother, eclectic china and silverware, mason drinking jars, vintage books, wildflower mason jar centerpieces, white pumpkins, and framed book page table numbers created by the bride. Shauna & Chris' custom surfboard sign-in was a hit as was the dessert table featuring mini cupcakes by Crushcakes, candy bar, and s'mores station. This gorgeous wedding was captured by one of my favorite photographers, Jonathan of Bluephoto Wedding Photography. A special thanks to the incredible staff at El Capitan Canyon Resort, all the vendors for making this wedding so beautiful and seamless, and to my amazing husband who rocked it as my assistant! Congratulations Shauna & Chris, we had such a great time working with the two of you! We wish you all the best as you continue your journey as husband and wife...in your NEW home!
